Oscar Jerome has enlisted Parisian singer Anna Majidson for a rework of an instrumental track, 'Aya & Bartholomew', lifted from his album The Spoon, released in September this year. The result is 'Aya & Bartholomew Rework', whereby Oscar Jerome plucks his acoustic guitar slowly with a certain bareness and fragility, much like the thin branches of a winter tree. Sung in French, Anna Majidson's lays her vocals down as intimately as a soft whisper close to your ear, her melodies intertwining with those of the guitar. With an understated folky feel, 'Aya & Bartholomew Rework' channels the likes of Nick Drake, Cat Power and Devendra Banhart. Check it out here. -Ellie Rose-Davies
